Theresa Bier Show Notes

By the time she was 16, Theresa Bier had already experienced abuse and neglect by the people who should have taken care of her and protected her. In and out of foster care and various relative’s homes, she ended up at her maternal half-uncle’s house where it’s likely she experienced more abuse.

When a 43-year-old acquaintance of her uncle offers to take her to school one day, it’s really a ruse to hide the fact the two intended to go hiking in the California wilderness. The man has promised Theresa they would look for Bigfoot in the mountains. As Bigfoot believer and aficionado, this man had a history of this behavior with underage girls.

But, when Theresa didn’t come home from school on June 1, 1987, her uncle began looking for her, finally calling the police that evening. It takes days before they are able to locate the man back home in Fresno and, upon questioning, he reveals the last time he saw Theresa was a few days after their arrival in the mountains. He claims he last saw her leaving their camp area with a blonde Bigfoot.

Police conducted an extensive search of the area he claimed they camped at, but were unable to locate Theresa. Theresa has been missing since and there have been no convictions in the case of her disappearance.
